Our Mission
What is the Israel Mission?
The culmination of the first year's work will be a 10-day fact-finding Israel trip in early summer between the students' junior and senior year. It will include exploration of contemporary Israel and dialogue with Israeli officials and journalists.
Participants are required to take part in this trip, and parents will be asked to sign a consent form. Program organizers will meet with parents to evaluate the security situation in Israel prior to departure.
Participants will be trained in:
- Journalistic writing
- Using Internet tools to get behind the headlines
- Media relations
- Public speaking and debate
- Options for advocacy on the college campus
Seminars will be taught by leading educators and professional journalists and will feature meetings with Israeli officials, Jewish campus activists and other top professionals.
