What are the requirements?
Students are required to:
- Attend all seven full-day seminars during the first year.
- Complete "In-between-seminar" assignments, including monitoring Israeli and American media converage of Mideast events and writing opinion piees and letters for publication in newspapers and blogs.
- Participating in a 10-day fact-finding mission to Israel
- Create Israel-advocacy projects or take part in relevant internships during senior year.
Who is eligible?
Write On For Israel applications are open to current high-school sophomores in the Cleveland area with a strong interest in Israel and an aptitude for journalism.
The selection sommittee will choose approximately 25 students to participate in the program. Applicants will be judged on two written essays, academic merit and two recommendations. Applicants also may be invited for an interview.
